2022Q1 - RI Political Expenditures

Moving into 2022-Q1 with the election year in full swing, campaign accounts spent a total of ~$3,719,190.88 from 6,363 transactions an increase of +1,419,396 from 2021-Q4. With Seth Magaziner's pivot to the CD-2 race, he refunded a bunch (probably all?) of his donations, the most ever in a single quarter (2nd is 571,363 from Cicilline in 2010-Q1).

2022Q1 - RI Political Contributions

Jumping into the campaign year with 2022-Q1 finance data campaigns raised a total of ~$4,809,597 from 12,593 transactions an increase of +1,150,846 from 2021-Q4. With Ashley Kalus's entrance to the race for governor she jumped into the second spot largely due to a $500,000 (and 20?) loan.

Wrapping up the year with 2021-Q4 Campaign Expenditures, moving into the election year spending is heating up. Coming in at $2,273,368.76 spent in 5,066 transactions across 38 different states. These include aggregate expenditure, campaign expenditure, repayment of loans and refunds of contributions.
