Diving into 2021-Q2 Campaign Expenditures, this recent quarter saw a jump in spending totaling $1,481,048.38 spent in 5,099 transactions across 33 different states. These include aggregate expenditure, campaign expenditure, repayment of loans and refunds of contributions.

2020 Census - Housing

Using 2010 & 2020 Census Redistricting Data (PL 94-171) this takes a look at changes in total number of houses and percent of houses vacant for each City/Town in Rhode Island. As well as looking at what % of homes are listed on Airbnb.

The 2021-Q2 campaign finance data was released earlier this month. Rhode Island politicians pulled in $3,420,440.08 dollars from 11,680 records, more than double the previous quarter's amount.

National Donut Day - Political Spending

Since 2006, politicians in Rhode Island have had 1,633 expenditures at donut shops for a total of $76,269.09. Probably to little surprise, these are largely dominated by Dunkin'. This post will take a look at spending that revolves around donut shops, from national chains to local shops, highest single expenditure, spending by year and more. Happy National Donut Day!

2021Q1 - RI Political Contributions

Arriving a bit late on 2021-Q1 campaign finance data, which was released at the end of last month totalling $1,507,741.19 dollars received by Rhode Island statewide politicians, down from the $2,777,997.78 received during 2020-Q4. The data includes individual donations, PAC's, interest from bank accounts and loans. This first table shows a breakdown of the top 20 campaign accounts that gained the most money and the source of the funds.

Governor's Office Transition

A breakdown of payroll changes in the 2 most recent quarters of the Governor's Office, during the transition from Gina Raimondo to Daniel McKee. The data is released quarterly, so this consists of data from January 2021, and April 2021. This takes a look at who left, who joined and who remained as well as pay changes between the 2 quarters.
