Taking a quick look at the 2021-Q3 Campaign Expenditures, this recent quarter saw more spending, but less transactions then the previous quarter coming in at $1,574,147.01 spent in 4,402 transactions across 34 different states. These include aggregate expenditure, campaign expenditure, repayment of loans and refunds of contributions.

Diving into 2021-Q2 Campaign Expenditures, this recent quarter saw a jump in spending totaling $1,481,048.38 spent in 5,099 transactions across 33 different states. These include aggregate expenditure, campaign expenditure, repayment of loans and refunds of contributions.

2021Q2 - RI Political Contributions

The 2021-Q2 campaign finance data was released earlier this month. Rhode Island politicians pulled in $3,420,440.08 dollars from 11,680 records, more than double the previous quarter's amount.

Breakdown of the 2021 Legislative Session

This infographic(ish) graphic shows the Rhode Island General Assembly's total number of session days each year and the total number of floor votes broken down by chamber. Senate data prior to 2016 is blank due to them not having any floor votes listed on the website.

2021 Bills Held for Study

Bills in Rhode Island face a big hurdle, making it out of committee and not being "Held for Further Study". Once a bill is introduced and sent to committee, the first vote it recieves is whether or not it should be "Held for Further Study". A bill held for further study is indefinitely postpone, however can be considered again by committee with approval from the speaker. This looks at fate of all the bills in 2021 and how many have made it past being held to continue down the legislative pipeline.
