Providence 311 Firework Complaints

Like most people i've been hearing a lot of fireworks, more then usual around Warwick, even for this time of year. After seeing a few news articles mentioning how it is apparently a thing happening all across the nation. I decided to dig up my old code collecting Providence 311 reports and see what I could find regarding fireworks. The data contains every 311 report with a description containing the word "firework".

Providence Police Cases & Arrests

April and March have seen a decline in arrests and case logs. Data is from https://data.providenceri.gov/ which sadly only provides the past 60 days for arrests and 180 days for case records. Due to the limited ammount of days I chose to show the data by week instead of monthly.

Providence JUMP Bike Trips

A Infographic Stype breakdown of JUMP bike trips in Providence. Data is collected from JUMP gbfs location API in increments of 5 mins showing bikes not in use. A "trip" is anytime a bike moves lat/long location. Trips excluded were any over 2 hours, any with > 10% charge increase and any that left the state of RI. Distance is measured using Graphhopper routing with OSM maps from start location to end location. Climate data from NOAA T.F. Green Airport station.

Providence Property Taxes 2019

Recently, Providence released their property tax roll for 2019. This time I used python & pandas to clean the data & create pivot tables viewing the changes. I focused on geographic changes looking at zip code, ward and neighborhoods to compare and contrast how the median single family & 2-5 family home value, and cost in taxes has changed from last year.
